duquette is an alt-folk-rock group led by singer/songwriter, and multi instrumentalist Rob DuquetteJake Sturtevant plays keys and John Kumnick plays bass.  (John previously has played with Cyndi Lauper, David Bowie, Chuck Berry, Ben E. King and Madonna).

“Amazing multi-instrumentalist, Rob Duquette on percussion, guitar, vocals and whatever else he can fit in the van.”
-Jonathan Edwards

duquette can’t help but add some world grooves into the mix.  They focus on stories, groove and improvisation.

“Just about everything’s got a “world” feel.  duquette’s not as goofy as other bands who trend kid-style, like They Might Be Giants, or silly at all on this release, but he’s lighthearted even when tackling serious subjects.”
-Sam Pfeifle, The Portland Phoenix

Rob also ventures out regularly on his own, performing solo acoustic shows, where the stories really take the front seat.

In 2013 they released their first EP entitled “This Time”.  They are currently working on their new album featuring Jonathan Edwards, Joe K. Walsh, John Mailander and Nick Luca (Nick has worked with Sheryl Crow, Calexico and Iron and Wine.)

“Rob Duquette really knocked me out!”
-Joe Porcaro

“All in all, Rob Duquette is an accomplished musician. With his prolific studies of African-American, North American and African music; he should be enjoying much success in all genres.”
-Kristen DiCarara-McClellan, Portland Press Herald
